Tool Kit

The Toddler Talk Toolkit supports all parents who want to ensure optimal Speech, Language and Social-Emotional Development for their children. The Toolkit uses the myToddler Talk Passport to help you identify and monitor your child’s current developmental milestones. The Activity Box is a box of activities and tips that  you can use at home to support development in any developmental domain you may have concern about. The my Toddler-Talk Passport helps you to keep track of and record progress your child makes as you use the Activity Box. See Below:

My Toddler-Talk Passport

The myToddler-Talk Passport is an easy to use tool for parents to assess how their child is developing in 5-10 speech, language and social-emotional domains. Parents can assess how their children are developing at different age stages in the following domains:

Copying and Imitation

Listening and Attention

Receptive Language

Joint Attention

Expressive Language

Play Skills

Social Skills

Visual Tracking

Matching

Toddler Talk will analyse parents’ responses to the myToddler-Talk Passport. Based on that analysis, Toddler Talk will direct parents to the specific activities required from the “How To Help” toolbox in each domain to support their individual child’s development in that area.

The “How to Help” Activity Tool Box

The “How to Help” Activity Toolbox is a box of activities and strategies using videos, e-books and tip sheets that directly match the responses from the Developmental Milestones Map  is a bank of video strategies and e-books that directly match the skills assessed in each domain of the Stepping Stones Map.

Video activities, tip sheets and e-book activities are available for each speech, language and social-emotional domain at each level of the map. For example, if a child scores 85% or less in the Copying and Imitation milestone domain parents will be immediately directed to the  “Copying and Imitation” video at that milestone stage. The videos are simple and easy to follow and parents will be shown how to support their child to build skills in this domain.
